Mike Piazza New York Mets – Double vs. Phillies – Autographed 16×20 Photograph

Mike Piazza entered the 2004 season needing only four home runs to tie the record for most homers hit by a catcher. Carlton Fisk held the original record with 351 home runs. On April- 27 2004- Piazza tied the record by hitting crushing a ball to left-center with one out in the sixth off Dodgers pitcher Hideo Nomo at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers were Piazza’s first team and he had- in fact- caught a Nomo no-hitter. This home run moved Mike Piazza into 58th place all-time on the home run list- passing another great- Joe DiMaggio. Piazza would break the record on May 5- 2004- against the Giants by hitting a Jerome Williams pitch over the wall at Shea Stadium. A sure Hall of Famer- Piazza will go down in the record books as one of the greatest hitting catchers of all time. Mike piazza has hand singed this 16×20 photo of him hitting a double against the Philiies. A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included.
