Doug Flutie Boston College Eagles – Hail Mary Celebration – Autographed 8×10 Photograph
Doug Flutie had one of football’s longest and strangest rides. The quarterback became an instant legend while playing for Boston College when- on Nov. 23- 1984- during a game against Miami- he threw a Hail Mary pass that gave Boston a 47-45 win and helped earn him the Heisman Trophy. Rather than enter the NFL- Flutie kicked off his professional career by playing for the New Jersey Generals of the USFL. When the USFL went under- Flutie joined the Bears for a year and the Patriots for two seasons- before moving to the Canadian Football League for eight seasons. He eventually returned to the NFL- playing for the Bills- the Chargers and again for the Patriots before retiring in 2006 at the age of 43. Flutie has hand signed this black & white 8×10 photo of him jumping into the arms of a teammate after throwing his unforgettable hail mary to beat Miami. A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included.
